Life is full of surprises and wonders.

A Rainy Sunday Afternoon

Monday, February 23, 2009

It has been a while since the last time I sat with mom and had a heart to heart chat with her. The time was running so fast that I myself feel exhausted sometimes having to cope with the demanding side of me. Yesterday, when mom was picking up the clove buds from its tree, and I was there helping her out. Sitting face to face, enjoying the cool breeze of air, I briskly opened up a conversation.. mother to daughter talk, about life, love, marriage .... and career. I felt a bit sad at time when mom too felt as if I will be away . Her hands and face have showed the aging sign of those hard and struggling days she had years back including those time when she was raising me up. I love her and I will never be able to pay all the kindness, love that she had given to me ....

Here is the letter I drafted for her and my dad year back that I have kept with me

To my beloved parents,

It had been years since we first met and I craved as a cute little tot in your warm cuddle. It was certainly love at a first sight & it blossomed with every moment passing by. Much have I learned from both of you that gave me the courage to walk through challenges in life with courage and strong determination, above all to be an ambitious person. Your perseverance, love and care for others have certainly shaped my self beliefs and perspectives on how I should regard every people that walk in and out of my life. When the world seems to be tumble down upon me, you hold my hands with your soft gentle touch and whispered your enchanting words of strength. So that I will keep moving on and believe that nothing could falter me down except for fate. Even if I have thousands years of life, I could never repay you for your sacrifice and kindness. My love for you is eternal and my memories with you are the treasures that I should savor in my sacred heart. Therefore my dear beloved parents, I dedicated every success, happiness and proud moments of my life for you and pray that I will be able to take care of you as much as you have cared for me.

Love,
